Interview to Annette Pehrsson alias Welcome Ghosts
D: Some words about you (Watch her photostream here)?
A 21 year-old little blackhaired girl living in (at the moment very cold) Sweden with my cats.

D: Photographer, is this the way you make your living ?
At the moment, yes it is. It’s not really a great source of income, but this is all I have right now. Finding regular work isn’t easy these days.
D: Photography is a pretext to…
living and breathing.

D: Little by little, visiting your photostream on Flickr, I came to understand that there is a something really special between you and your camera (Zenit B)..Is the photographer, an artisan that needs to find the right tool and remain faithful to it ?
I definitely think so! When I hold the Zenit in my hands I feel sort of invincible, I feel I can finally shoot the photos that I dreamt of taking but never could before. I don’t know why, but I guess I’ve found something I feel secure and safe with.
D: Can you present one or two photographs (from yours or other photographers) that tells something special to you?

This is my one true love in life, in his most natural manners. The photo gives me the feeling of relief. This surrounding is also a place where I could sit for hours, days or weeks and just gaze out over the water.
D: Can you present one or two photographers that you feel your work is or can be related to?Explain Why?
I doubt I could mention just one or two names, there are so many aspiring young photographers on sites like flickr that inspire me. Being a part of this community has made me grow a lot over the years that I’ve been active.
D: What is the best feeling you experienced photographying?
The fact that I have the memories in my photographs to look back at in the future, and the fact that I feel I’ve actually accomplished something I’m happy with and proud over.

D: Can you try to say a few words about what (according to you) makes a good picture?
Photographs shouldn’t be over-directed I think, but they should still be thought through well. I find that photographs that capture real moments often are those that speak to me most. And oh, light, especially beautiful natural light is a key element, at least for me.
D: Next projects?
Not sure, but hopefully I’ll be able to pull together a couple of small exhibitions next year, and if I can afford it I want to travel somewhere and see new places to be inspired by.
D:One song?
Love will tear us apart, by Joy Division.
D:A quote?
« Yes, I’m drunk. And you’re beautiful. And tomorrow morning, I’ll be sober but you’ll still be beautiful. » – From the movie The Dreamers

I loved this interview and I went from your stream and I truly love your photos and there sincerity
